Venue Guidelines at a Glance
Welcome to our historic venue. To preserve our heritage site and ensure a seamless event, all bookings are subject to our comprehensive venue policy.
Key terms include:
- Payment Schedule: A 50% deposit secures your date. The remaining 50% balance and a 20% refundable security deposit are due 14 days prior to your event.
- Insurance: Hirers must provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) for $1,000,000 USD naming the Museum as an additional insured at least 14 days before the event.
- Cancellations Charges (Based on written notice date):
- 60+ days notice: Full refund (less a $50 admin fee).
- 31–59 days notice: 50% deposit refund.
- 30 days or less: Deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations within 14 days require 100% full payment.
- Note: Date changes are processed as cancellations of the original date.
- Site Care: Open flames, dry ice, and exceeding capacity are strictly prohibited to protect our collections.
- Force Majeure (Unforeseen Events): If the event must be canceled due to circumstances beyond reasonable control—including earthquakes, active wildfires, government mandates, or sudden regional utility power blackouts—neither party is liable for damages. The Hirer may choose a full refund of all fees or a one-time complimentary reschedule within 6 months (subject to museum availability).
